| The aim of the programme is to bring science education to the door steps of its seekers. The programme prepares students to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge to enter Masters Programme in the area of their interest. It also provides an opportunity to the employees in scientific and industrial establishments to realise their academic and professional aspirations. The programme consists of the following subjects:
Year 1: (four compulsory subjects)
- Foundation course in English language
- Foundation course in a modern Indian language (Telugu/Urdu/Hindi) - Foundation course in Science and Technology
- Foundation course in Social Sciences Years 2 and 3: (electives)
3 subjects may be chosen from:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Botany
- Zoology
- Geology Each of the three electives consists of four papers of study with two papers per subject per year. The study involves both theoretical and laboratory based training. Entrance qualifications: Admission is restricted to applicants who have had a formal level of science education up to pre-degree level. Scientific and technical persons working in well established
laboratories and institutions are also considered for admission on individual merits. |
